REGOLAMENTO

1 – DESCRIZIONE

Asolo Art Film Festival (AAFF) è il Festival Internazionale dedicato ai film d’Arte e sull’Arte che si svolge ad Asolo (Italia). Il suo obiettivo è quello di promuovere i film d’Arte e le opere audiovisive artistiche in tutte le forme attraverso l’indizione di un concorso che viene svolto annualmente.

2 – SOGGETTO PROMOTORE

“Asolo Art Film Festival” è un’associazione culturale senza scopo di lucro che opera da molti anni a livello internazionale.

3 – SVOLGIMENTO

La 42^ edizione di AAFF si terrà ad Asolo il 12-13-14 giugno 2026.

4 – TERMINI DI ACCETTAZIONE E LINGUA

Sono aperte le iscrizioni alla 42^ edizione del Festival.

4.1 Il termine per il ricevimento delle opere è il 31 dicembre 2025.

4.2 Saranno ammesse al concorso solo opere realizzate dopo il 1° gennaio 2023.

4.3 Per consentire al pubblico italiano e internazionale di comprendere al meglio le opere proiettate, i film dovranno essere sottotitolati come segue:
– film in lingua inglese: sottotitoli in italiano
– film in tutte le altre lingue (compreso l’italiano): sottotitoli in inglese
La mancanza dei sottotitoli può comportare esclusione dal concorso.

5 – OPERE AMMESSE

5.1 TIPOLOGIA

Potranno essere presentate al Concorso opere audiovisive di qualsiasi durata e realizzate con qualsiasi linguaggio: documentari, biografie, lavori di ricostruzione storica, cinema sperimentale, animazione, lavori di interpretazione critica dell’arte, lavori di video arte, lavori di computer art, registrazioni di performance, ecc.

5.2 DURATA

Saranno accettate le opere che potranno avere la seguente durata:

• Cortometraggi / con durata inferiore o uguale ai 30 minuti

• Lungometraggi / con durata maggiore di 30 minuti

5.3 OGGETTO

L’oggetto delle presentazioni sarà l’Arte in tutte le varie forme e sfumature possibili: arte visiva, scultura, incisione, fotografia, installazioni artistiche, architettura, urbanistica, danza, musica, teatro, arte contemporanea, calligrafia, archeologia e storia, storia dell’arte, cinema, artigianato e lavorazioni artistiche, collezionismo, design di interni e di oggettistica, moda, arte grafica, arte in cucina, arte nei giardini, musei, borghi e siti artistici, arte digitale, arte grezza e arte di strada, arte del tessuto, arte circense, poesia, letteratura, arte grafica, arte digitale, art therapy e ogni altra tipologia di soggetto che possa creare un’espressione artistica.

Tutte le opere potranno essere realizzate con ibridazioni di tecniche differenti a discrezione dell’autore.

6 – SEZIONI

6.1 FILM SULL’ARTE

Film documentari dedicati all’arte in tutte le sue forme.

6.2 FILM COME OPERA D’ARTE

Opere audiovisive create con qualsiasi linguaggio usato come strumento di espressione artistica. Cinema sperimentale.

6.3 OPERE DI VIDEO ARTE

Opere brevi e brevissime che usano un linguaggio simbolico utilizzando la retorica della metafora, allegoria, sineddoche.

6.4 FILM DI ANIMAZIONE

Opere di ogni durata eseguite con la tecnica del movimento di immagini disegnate in rapida successione temporale.

6.5 OPERE “ESPRESSIONI PRIME”

Opere di qualsiasi tipologia, realizzate con qualsiasi linguaggio da studenti delle Accademie di Belle Arti, Scuole di Cinema e Università nazionali e internazionali, come laboratorio della creazione audiovisiva della nuova generazione. Questa iscrizione concorrerà solo per questa premiazione. L’autore, in caso di selezione dovrà dar prova del proprio status di studente.

6.6 SEZIONE SPECIALE “ANNIVERSARI DELL’ARTE ”
Nel 2026 il mondo dell’arte celebrerà tre anniversari straordinari: il centenario della morte di Claude Monet, padre dell’Impressionismo, la cui visione ha cambiato per sempre l’arte moderna; il 150° anniversario della nascita di Filippo Tommaso Marinetti, fondatore del Futurismo; e di Constantin Brâncuși, pioniere rivoluzionario della scultura modernista.

Asolo Art Film Festival dedica una sezione speciale alle opere cinematografiche e audiovisive che esplorino, interpretino o celebrino la vita, le opere e l’eredità di questi tre protagonisti della modernità artistica.
Per questa sezione sono ammesse opere realizzate a partire dal 2022.
Le opere iscritte a questa sezione concorreranno per una menzione speciale della Giuria e potranno essere selezionate anche per le altre categorie di concorso.

La Commissione di selezione si riserva la possibilità di spostare un’opera dalla sezione in cui è stata iscritta.

7 – GIURIA E PREMIAZIONI

7.1 La giuria è composta da membri designati dalla direzione del Festival scelti tra esperti nazionali ed internazionali. I premi saranno assegnati alle opere vincitrici.

La giuria potrà inoltre segnalare, con menzione speciale, altre opere in concorso di particolare valore in ambiti specifici anche promossi da soggetti terzi.

7.3 PREMI SPECIALI

• Premio “ITALIAE” – Dedicato alla miglior Opera audiovisiva con Focus sul patrimonio artistico, paesaggistico italiano e culturale (Opere d’Arte, Borghi, Paesaggi, Cultura locale, Patrimonio Immateriale, ecc…).

• Premio “Scenari Sonori” – Dedicato all’indicibile universo della sonorizzazione di un’opera audiovisiva nel suo insieme, dai suoni d’ambiente sino ai temi musicali. L’approccio infinitesimale ad una dimensione speculare dell’opera stessa, capace di rivelarne il respiro più profondo.

8 – MODALITA’ DI ISCRIZIONE AL CONCORSO

8.1 MODALITA’ DI ISCRIZIONE

Per partecipare al concorso è necessario effettuare la candidatura compilando il modulo d’iscrizione presente sul sito www.filmfreeway.com, allegando i documenti richiesti al successivo punto 8.2 ed effettuando il versamento come di seguito descritto.

8.2 DOCUMENTAZIONE RICHIESTA

• Sinossi breve dell’opera che dovrà essere redatta in lingua italiana o inglese (150 parole max);

• Biografia dell’autore (200 parole max);

• Una fotografia dell’autore dell’opera in formato JPEG o PNG in alta definizione;

• Almeno tre immagini in formato JPEG o PNG in alta definizione di distinti fotogrammi e/o di foto di scena dell’opera;

• Documentazione di promozione del film se disponibile (comunicati stampa, locandina, ecc);

• Link per visione attraverso una delle piattaforme video (Youtube, Vimeo, etc.) in formato ad alta definizione CODEC H264 MP4. Il filmato deve essere caricato concedendo il permesso di download pena l’esclusione dalla selezione;

• Trailer (max. 1’30’’) se presente.

8.3 QUOTA DI ISCRIZIONE

La partecipazione al concorso prevede il pagamento di una quota di iscrizione pari a:

• • € 21,00 (ventuno) per tutte le opere con durata superiore a 30’

  • € 11,00 (undici) per tutte le opere con durata inferiore o uguale a 30’

  • € 6,00 (sei) per la sezione “Espressioni Prime”

L’importo non sarà restituito anche in caso di ritiro dal concorso.

La quota d’iscrizione va versata unicamente tramite pagamento su piattaforma FilmFreeWay durante la procedura di candidatura dell’opera.

9 – FORMATO

Le opere ammesse dovranno essere inviate con le seguenti caratteristiche:

• Risoluzione: 1920 x 1080

• Formato: mp4 o mov

Qualora un’opera venisse selezionata, sarà la segreteria del festival a dare indicazioni precise all’autore circa l’invio del cortometraggio o lungometraggio per un’adeguata proiezione in sala (che sia file ProRess o file H264). Non si accettano BluRay, DVD o DCP.

Per ogni tipologia di problematica inerente al formato o la risoluzione del film contattare la mail submit@asoloartfilmfestival.com.

10 – SELEZIONE DELLE OPERE

La commissione di preselezione visionerà le opere iscritte ed eleggerà quelle ammissibili al concorso. Il giudizio della commissione di selezione è insindacabile.

Gli esiti della selezione saranno comunicati ai candidati entro fine febbraio 2026. Alle opere selezionate sarà inviato il logo del Festival indicante la selezione avvenuta da utilizzare a fini promozionali.

Le opere selezionate non potranno essere ritirate dalla programmazione senza il consenso di Asolo Art Film Festival.

L’organizzazione declina ogni responsabilità per eventuali problemi di ricezione dei file.

La mancata messa a disposizione del video entro la scadenza del bando comporta l’eliminazione dalla selezione.

Le copie e i file dell’opera inviata al concorso entreranno a far parte dell’archivio di Asolo Art Film Festival fondato per scopi culturali, didattici e divulgativi, nonché per dare a tutte le opere archiviate la maggiore visibilità possibile nell’ambito delle attività collaterali del Festival.

11 – DIRITTI E PRIVACY

Con la loro partecipazione al concorso, i detentori dei diritti delle opere selezionate autorizzano la proiezione dell’opera nell’ambito della 42^ edizione di Asolo Art Film Festival e autorizzano altresì la proiezione in altre attività di divulgazione culturale organizzate da AAFF.

Il Festival si riserva il diritto di apporre il proprio logo e di realizzare eventuali sottotitoli sugli estratti video delle opere.
I detentori dei diritti delle opere pervenute autorizzano la pubblicazione dei dati forniti sul sito www.asoloartfilmfestival.com, sui vari profili social del festival, sul catalogo del concorso, su tutte le pubblicazioni web e cartacee e sui mezzi di stampa utilizzati per la diffusione.

Viene altresì autorizzata l’iscrizione alla mailing list del Festival, secondo la normativa di legge. I dati personali verranno trattati secondo quanto previsto dal Decreto Legge sulla Privacy del 30/06/2003 n°196 e successive modificazioni ed integrazioni e non verranno diffusi né comunicati a terzi. La comunicazione degli indirizzi email da parte dei partecipanti esprime il consenso al trattamento da parte di esterni al solo fine dello scambio di informazioni relativa all’Asolo Art Film Festival.

I detentori dei diritti dichiarano che l’opera proposta è originale realizzata dopo il 1° gennaio 2023 e che non è stato utilizzato materiale di opere già esistenti (letterarie, musicali, multimediali o di qualsiasi altro tipo) protette da copyright altrui.

È altresì loro compito proteggere l’opera secondo la normativa vigente in materia di Diritto d’Autore.
Dichiarano, inoltre, che l’opera non lede diritti di terzi secondo quanto disciplinato dalla L. 633/1941 e che essa non presenta contenuti a carattere diffamatorio, esonerando gli organizzatori del Festival da ogni responsabilità e pretesa formulata da terzi con riguardo all’opera presentata al concorso.

L’organizzazione di Asolo Art Film Festival è esonerata da qualsiasi pretesa da parte di terzi in merito ai testi trasmessi.

Qualora la natura dell’opera giustifichi l’impiego di repertorio terzo, soggetto a diritti d’autore, è necessario produrre pertinente liberatoria. Le immagini delle opere inviate dovranno essere libere da diritti e potranno essere utilizzate da Asolo Art Film Festival per scopi promozionali e divulgativi del Festival anche in edizioni successive riportandole sia su materiale cartaceo che digitale.

La partecipazione al concorso implica la totale accettazione del presente Regolamento.

AAFF si riserva il diritto di modificare le date di realizzazione del Festival o di cancellarlo in caso di circostanze straordinarie.

In caso di controversie in merito all’interpretazione del Bando di Concorso o del Regolamento, è competente il Foro di Treviso (Italia).

REGULATIONS

1 – DESCRIPTION

The Asolo Art Film Festival (AAFF) is the International Festival dedicated to films on Art and about Art which takes place in Asolo (Italy). Its purpose is to promote Art films and artistic audiovisual works in all forms through the announcement of a competition that is held annually.

2 – ORGANIZATION

“Asolo Art Film Festival” is a non-profit cultural association that has been operating for many years at an international level.

3 – DATE OF THE EVENT

The 42nd edition of AAFF will take place in Asolo (Italy) on 12-13-14 June 2026.

4 – ELIGIBILITY

Entries are open for the 42nd edition of the Festival.

4.1 The deadline for receiving the works is 31 December 2025.

4.2 Only works created after 1 January 2023 will be admitted to the competition.

4.3 In order to allow the Italian and international audience to better understand the works screened, films must be subtitled as follows:

• films in English: subtitles in Italian

• films in all other languages (including Italian): subtitles in English

The lack of subtitles may result in exclusion from the competition.

5 – ELIGIBLE WORKS

5.1 TYPE

Audiovisual works of any length and made with any language may be submitted to the Competition: documentaries, biographies, historical reconstructions, experimental cinema, animation, works of critical interpretation of art, video art, computer art, recordings of performances, etc.

5.2 LENGTH

The following works will be accepted:

• Short films / with a length less than or equal to 30 minutes

• Feature films / with a length greater than 30 minutes

5.3 SUBJECT

The subject of the presentations will be Art in all its possible forms and nuances: visual art, sculpture, engraving, photography, artistic installations, architecture, urban planning, dance, music, theatre, contemporary art, calligraphy, archaeology and history, art history, cinema, craftsmanship and artistic creations, collecting, interior and object design, fashion, graphic art, culinary art, garden art, museums, villages and artistic sites, digital art, outsider art and street art, textile art, circus art, poetry, literature, graphic art, digital art, art therapy and any other type of subject capable of creating an artistic expression.

All works may be created with hybridizations of different techniques at the discretion of the author.

6 – SECTIONS

6.1 FILMS ABOUT ART

Documentary films dedicated to art in all its forms.

6.2 FILMS AS A WORK OF ART

Audiovisual works created with any language used as a tool of artistic expression. Experimental cinema.

6.3 VIDEO ART WORKS

Short and very short works that use a symbolic language employing the rhetoric of metaphor, allegory, synecdoche.

6.4 ANIMATED FILMS

Works of any length executed with the technique of moving images drawn in rapid temporal succession.

6.5 “FIRST EXPRESSIONS” WORKS (Espressioni Prime in Italian)

Works of any type, made with any language by students of Academies of Fine Arts, Film Schools and national and international Universities, as a laboratory of audiovisual creation of the new generation. This entry will only compete for this award. The author, in case of selection, must provide proof of student status.
6.6 SPECIAL SECTION “ANNIVERSARIES OF ART”
In 2026, the art world will celebrate three remarkable anniversaries: the 100th anniversary of the death of Claude Monet, the father of Impressionism whose vision forever changed modern art; the 150th anniversary of the birth of Filippo Tommaso Marinetti, founder of Futurism; and Constantin Brâncuși, the trailblazing pioneer of modernist sculpture.

To honor these milestones, the Asolo Art Film Festival will present a special section dedicated to films and audiovisual works that explore, reimagine, or pay tribute to the life, creations, and legacy of these groundbreaking masters of modernity.

This exclusive section welcomes works produced from 2022 onwards. Submissions will compete for a Special Mention awarded by the Jury, with the chance to be considered across the Festival’s other competition categories as well.

The Selection Committee reserves the right to move a work from the section in which it was entered.

7 – JUDGEZ AND AWARDS

7.1 The jury is composed of members appointed by the direction of the Festival chosen among national and international experts. Prizes will be awarded to the winning works.

The jury may also point out, with special mention, other works in competition of particular value in specific fields, also promoted by third parties.

7.2 AWARDS

  • Award for the Best Film about Art

  • Award for the Best Film in the special section “FIRST IMPRESSIONS”

7.3 SPECIAL PRIZES

• Asolo Award for the Best Film in the special section “ITALIAE”: audiovisual works with a focus on Italian heritage and/or on the different aspects of Italian culture (works of art, villages, landscapes, local culture, traditions, Intangible Heritage, etc).

• Asolo Award for the Best “Sound Landscapes”: dedicated to the unspeakable universe of complete sound-making of a movie, from ambient sounds to the music theme. The infinitesimal approach to a speculate view revealing the inner breath of the work.

8 – METHOD OF ENTRY TO THE COMPETITION

8.1 METHOD OF ENTRY

To participate in the competition it is necessary to submit the application by filling out the entry form available on the website www.filmfreeway.com, attaching the documents required in the following point 8.2 and making the payment as described below.

8.2 DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED:

• Short synopsis of the work written in Italian or English (150 words max);

• Author’s biography (200 words max);

• A high-resolution photograph of the author of the work in JPEG or PNG format;

• At least three high-resolution images in JPEG or PNG format of distinct frames and/or production stills of the work;

• Promotional material of the film if available (press releases, poster, etc);

• Screening link through one of the video platforms (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.) in high-definition format CODEC H264 MP4. The film must be uploaded with permission for download, otherwise exclusion from the selection;

• Trailer (max. 1’30’’) if available.

8.3 ENTRY FEE

Participation in the competition requires the payment of an entry fee equal to:

• € 21.00 (twenty-one) for all works longer than 30 minutes

• € 11.00 (eleven) for all works shorter than or equal to 30 minutes

• € 6.00 (six) for the “First Expressions” section

The amount will not be refunded even in case of withdrawal from the competition.

The entry fee must be paid only via payment on the FilmFreeWay platform during the application procedure of the work.

9 – FORMAT

The accepted works must be sent with the following characteristics:

• Resolution: 1920 x 1080

• Format: mp4 or mov

If a work is selected, the Festival office will provide precise instructions to the author regarding the submission of the short or feature film for proper screening in the theatre (either ProRes file or H264 file). BluRay, DVD or DCP are not accepted.

For any type of problem concerning the format or resolution of the film contact the email submit@asoloartfilmfestival.com.

10 – SELECTION OF WORK

The pre-selection committee will watch the submitted works and select those eligible for the competition. The decision of the selection committee is final.

The results of the selection will be communicated to applicants by the end of February 2026. Selected works will be sent the Festival logo indicating the achieved selection to be used for promotional purposes.

Selected works cannot be withdrawn from the program without the consent of the Asolo Art Film Festival.

The organization declines any responsibility for problems in receiving the files. Failure to make the video available within the deadline of the call will result in elimination from the selection.

The copies and files of the work submitted to the competition will become part of the Asolo Art Film Festival archive founded for cultural, educational and informational purposes, as well as to give all archived works the greatest possible visibility within the collateral activities of the Festival.

The selection of a film or video does not guarantee financial support for the presence of producers, directors and distributors.

11 – RIGHTS AND PRIVACY

By participating in the competition, the rights holders of the selected works authorize the screening of the work within the 42nd edition of the Asolo Art Film Festival and also authorize screening in other cultural dissemination activities organized by AAFF.

The Festival reserves the right to affix its logo and to create possible subtitles on video excerpts of the works.

The rights holders of the submitted works authorize the publication of the provided data on the website www.asoloartfilmfestival.com, on the various social media profiles of the festival, in the competition catalogue, on all web and print publications and in the media used for dissemination.

Participants also consent to subscription to the Festival mailing list in accordance with the law. Personal information will be processed in accordance with the provisions of the Italian Privacy Code (Legislative Decree No. 196 of 30 June 2003) and subsequent amendments and additions and will not be disclosed to or shared with third parties. The communication of email addresses by the participants is an expression of their consent to third-party use for the sole purpose of exchanging information relating to the Asolo Art Film Festival.

The copyright holders declare that the proposed work is original, realized after January 1, 2023 and that no material from existing works (literary, musical, multimedia or any other type) protected by the copyright of others has been used.

It is also their responsibility to protect the work according to current copyright law. They also declare that the work does not infringe third party rights as governed by Italian Law 633/1941 and that it does not contain defamatory content, releasing the organizers of the Festival from any liability and claim made by third parties regarding the work submitted to the competition.

The organization of the Asolo Art Film Festival is released from any claim by third parties regarding the submitted texts.

Should the nature of the work justify the use of third-party material, subject to copyright, an appropriate release must be provided. The images of the works submitted must be free of rights and may be used by the Asolo Art Film Festival for promotional and informational purposes of the Festival also in subsequent editions, both in print and digital material.

Participation in the competition implies full acceptance of these Regulations.

AAFF reserves the right to modify the dates of the Festival or to cancel it in case of extraordinary circumstances.

In case of disputes regarding the interpretation of the Call for Entries or the Regulations, the competent Court is Treviso (Italy).
